All classes will integrate Hawaiian values in the learning process. Although not all dancers may be asked to perform, all haumāna will share their Aloha Spirit with the community through various services. Participation in these services will help develop leaders and role models in the hālau and in their communities while strengthening their bonds as hula brothers and sisters.

OUR HULA CLASSES FOR CHILDREN: 1 class per week $68/month 2 classes per week $73/month
Ages 4 & up Sundays 1:00-2:00PM Basic hula steps and hand motions are taught to our keiki who are young, beginning dancers. Hawaiian values will be shared and Hawaiian words will be practiced through games, stories and basic art.
Ages 7 & up Sundays 2:00-3:00PM Basic hula steps and hand motions, with an emphasis on timing, are taught to our young dancers. Hawaiian values will be shared and Hawaiian words will be practiced through games, stories and basic art.
Ages 10 & up Sundays 3:00-4:00 Young dancers who demonstrate basic hula steps as well as an ability to focus, will continue to develop their coordination through age-appropriate choreography including kahiko and 'auana. Practice of Hawaiian words are woven into their hula instruction and will include "kahea" or "calling", as part of hula. Dance technique and protocol will be introduced.

Beginner 1- little to no hula experience Tuesdays 7:00-8:00PM Beginner 2- minimum 1 year hula experience Tuesdays 8:00-9:00PM These makua (adult) classes focus on the fundamental steps, movements and terminology used in hula.
Beyond Beginner 1 - minimum 1-2 years hula experience Mondays 7:30-9:00PM Beyond Beginner 2 - minimum 1-2 years hula experience Sundays 4:15-5:30PM These makua (adult) classes will be enjoyed by all levels. Basic hula steps will be repeated with hand movements to develop coordination as well as confidence. Basic ‘ōlelo (language) related to nā mele (songs) will be shared. Dance technique and protocol will be stressed while the integration of Hawaiian values continues.
Tuesdays 9:30-10:30AM A relaxed adult class, open to all levels, combining light cardio & stretching exercises with easy-to-follow hula choreography. Hālau pā'ū (skirt) is NOT required for this class and a pareo/sarong may be worn but is not mandatory.
Wednesdays 7:00-8:30PM This makua (adult) class will be "fast-paced", combining choreography, ‘ōlelo (language), mele (song) and mo'olelo (history). Independent study relating to nā mele (songs) will be encouraged. Attendance must be consistent to remain in this class.
Sundays 5:30-7:00PM This makua (adult) class for will be physically challenging. Some independent study of ‘ōlelo (language), mele (song) and mo'olelo (history) will be required. Attendance must be consistent to remain in this class.
Open Practice (OP) - An open structure class where current students of varying levels practice skills and/or review hula taught in other classes. Days/times to be announced.
